It's weird to write about me.... I'm normally on the other side, asking the questions, fixing the problems, taking the photos and stuff.
A few things about me:
I've worked in the media industry for more than a decade, covering a whole variety of stories and just over eight years ago, I started Em Media and Events to support, manage and mentor musicians that I saw as exceptional. My passion for their music allows me to help them build a narrative, grow their fanbase and establish them as some of the most sort after artists in their field. During this time, I have had the pleasure of working with many that have supported my growth and journey as a music manager and inspired me to continue to do what I do.
I've also project managed and assisted on some amazing events, run some greatly successful campaigns, talked on many a music industry panel and most recently, I have taken over as the production manager of The Gympie Muster, which is a most rewarding adventure.
Part of the work I do also involves working with organisations that support the growth and development of young indigenous artists, songwriters and performers. Such as the USQ Deadly Ways programme, the APRA/AMCOS Starting Ground programme and the production of various albums involving Shellie Morris and 98.9fm. The album projects so far have involved Shellie working closely with some incredibly talented First Nations youth and Elders to write about their stories and culture and bring them together to record and release the albums with the intention of bringing awareness to the great wealth of talent and storytelling available in Australia today.
If my artists or any of the work I do interests you, I’d love to hear from you today.
